How this Algorithm Works
The Linen Forecaster uses a 6-step deterministic process to scan your upcoming week and dynamically calculate the raw total of linens you need, protecting your bottom line from over-ordering:
- Step 1 (Sourcing Jobs): Scans the schedule for all "scheduled" or "assigned" cleans between the selected dates.
- Step 2 (Bed Config Extraction): For each appointment in that timeframe, it links back to the Property's master profile to extract the exact bed counts (Number of Kings, Queens, Twins).
- Step 3 (Bath Math Rules): Translates bathroom counts into towel arrays. Logic:
(Full Baths Γ 4 Bath/4 Washcloth/2 Hand/1 Mat)+(Half Baths Γ 2 Hand/2 Washcloth). Kitchen towels default to 2 per house. - Step 4 (Triple Sheeting Layer): If the property has the "Triple Sheeting" flag flipped on, the algorithm automatically adds an extra flat sheet of the respective size to every single bed in the unit.
- Step 5 (Blanket Checks): Reads the appointment details to see if "Blanket Change Required" was manually checked for any units, or if a global schedule trigger was hit.
- Step 6 (The Safety Buffer): Takes the entire raw aggregate count and multiplies it by a 25% safety margin, rounding up. This prevents shortages caused by unpredictable stains, rips, or supplier miscounts.
Auditing Notice:
Review the Safe Order Form block. If a line-item count looks inexplicably high (like yielding 300 King fitted sheets for two cleans), it specifically means a property's bed data is duplicated or set to zero within the core Property Manager.
Algorithm Feedback
we based the bath math on standard logic (4 per full bath). Should we change it? Is the 25% safety buffer too high or too low? Please detail any formula adjustments below.
